Near the nonastery is the Vassil Levsky (left) museum. The democrat revolutionary
fighter was arrested near Lovech, while he was organizing the Bulgarian
national revolt against the Otoman rule. They say he was betrayed
by the priest Krastyo Nikiforov (right) and brought to Sofia, where he was hanged.
